xAI's "Improved" Grok Now Criticizes Democrats and Hollywood's "Jewish Executives"
Elon Musk recently announced that he would fix the Grok chatbot after it called his claims about left-wing terrorism false. The work of the updated AI has sparked a wave of criticism due to political bias and anti-Semitic statements. This is reported by TechCrunch.
A user on Platform X asked Grok if the election of Democrats was a negative thing. The chatbot replied in the affirmative, calling their policies "harmful" and citing the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation. (This message has since been deleted.) In another response, Grok criticized Hollywood for "ideological bias," citing "anti-white stereotypes" and "imposed diversity."
The most resonant response came when asked who exactly was pushing these themes. Grok wrote that "Jewish executives" have traditionally run Hollywood studios and that this "influences the content." These statements echo well-known anti-Semitic narratives, which contradicts the chatbot's previous position - in June, he recognized such statements as stereotypes that greatly simplify the real situation in the industry.
xAI has not yet provided an official comment. Grok has previously been criticized for censoring references to Elon Musk, spreading conspiracy theories, and questioning the number of Holocaust victims. Despite the recent changes, the bot continues to express different opinions - in particular, the other day it blamed NOAA cuts related to Musk's initiatives for the deaths of 24 people during the Texas floods, adding: "Facts are more important than feelings."
