Elon Musk has announced the creation of a new party in the US and already has support from several businessmen
Elon Musk announced on the social network X that he is creating a new political force in the United States called the "America Party", which should become an alternative to the traditional two-party system. The idea has already aroused interest among representatives of business circles - in particular, billionaire Mark Cuban and investor Anthony Scaramucci have publicly expressed their support for Musk. This is reported by Engadget.
Cuban, who tagged Musk's post with happy emojis, noted that he is working with the Center for Competitive Democracy and is ready to help Musk's party get on the ballot.
Scaramucci, who briefly served as White House communications director under Trump in 2017, has suggested a meeting with Musk to discuss next steps. Both businessmen have previously supported Kamala Harris' candidacy.
Musk has stated that his "America Party" plans to win 2–3 seats in the Senate and 8–10 districts in the House of Representatives. It is currently unknown whether the political force has been officially registered: some references in the Federal Election Commission appear unreliable and coexist with humorous names such as "DOGE Party" and "American Meme Party".
