Elon Musk plans to start spending significantly less time on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) starting in May 2025. This is reported by The Verge.
The billionaire revealed during Tesla's financial report that he will spend "one or two days" a week on DOGE over the next month, while focusing on Tesla.
"Starting next month, I’ll be allocating far more of my time to Tesla, now that the major work of establishing the Department of Government Efficiency is done," Musk says.
He also added that he will continue to support DOGE "as long as the president wants me to do so and as long as it is useful."
By the way, according to US law, Elon Musk, as a special adviser to the Donald Trump administration, could cooperate with the government for no more than 130 days. At the same time, there have been rumors recently that the billionaire will leave the White House early due to the decrease in his influence.
Recall that in early April 2025, reports also emerged that Donald Trump had told his inner circle that Elon Musk would complete his duties as chairman of DOGE in the coming weeks.
