iFixit specialists have disassembled the new Apple AirPods Pro 3 wireless headphones and rated their repairability at 0 out of 10 possible points.

The main reason for this result was the inability to safely replace the batteries. iFixit noted that when trying to get to the headphones' batteries, their case had to be completely damaged. A similar situation arose with the charging case, which also turned out to be practically beyond repair.

According to the resource, the difficulty of the repair is due to the fact that the batteries in the headphones and the case are fixed with glue. This makes the process of removing the batteries extremely risky. As a result, any attempt to interfere can lead to the final failure of the device.

This isn't the first time this has happened. All previous generations of AirPods, including the base models and Pro versions, also received a 0/10 rating from iFixit. This means that once the battery life is over, users are effectively left with no way to repair the device and are forced to buy new headphones.

In its report, iFixit notes that while the AirPods Pro 3 are technically repairable, the repair process is so complex that even experienced technicians risk permanently damaging the device. That's why the headphones received a minimum rating.
