Honor has announced a new smartwatch, the Watch 5 Ultra, on the global market, GSMArena reported.
The model stands out among its peers with premium materials - the middle frame is made of Grade 5 titanium alloy, and the back panel combines a ceramic-like material and polymer fiber. This distinguishes the Watch 5 Ultra from the aluminum case of the standard Watch 5 and even the steel case of the Watch 4 Pro.
The front panel is covered in sapphire glass for increased durability and scratch resistance. Underneath it is a round 1.5-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and 310 ppi. The panel supports a variable refresh rate of up to 60 Hz for smooth animations and a frequency reduction to save battery. The watch has an Always On Display mode.
Honor Watch 5 Ultra is the brand's first watch with ECG support. The Quick Health Scan feature allows you to instantly take an electrocardiogram, while the Health Monitor Report summarizes all health data collected throughout the day.
The watch also supports a new freediving mode that allows you to dive to a depth of up to 40 meters. This exceeds the 5 ATM water resistance rating of previous Honor models. In total, the new watch is available in over 100 sports modes.
The watch case measures 46.3 mm in diameter and 11.4 mm thick, and weighs 51.8 g without a strap. The built-in speaker allows you to take calls without having to take out your smartphone.
The watch can be controlled using the crown. In addition, it supports over 10,000 unique watch faces and so-called Scenario Service Cards - cards for quick access to functions such as weather forecast, activity tracking, and more.
The watch is equipped with a 480 mAh battery, like the Watch 4 Pro and Watch 5. The Ultra provides up to 15 days of battery life and supports wireless charging.
The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is available in black and brown colors and is now available in Europe for €279.
