Elon Musk’s chatbot company, xAI, has received a new platform called Grok Studio, which will allow users to collaborate with AI to create documents and applications, TechCrunch reports.

The innovation will be available to both paid and free users via the grok.com website. In Grok Studio, users will be able to generate documents, code, and browser games, and the content will be displayed in a separate window, allowing them to work on projects together with the chatbot.

At first glance, Grok Studio doesn't look much different from similar offerings from competitors. Separate workspaces for code and document creation already exist in ChatGPT (Canvas) and in Anthropic, which previously launched Artifacts for Claude.

Users will also be able to view HTML snippets and run Python, C++, and JavaScript code. A preview of the generated content will be displayed in a window next to the responses.

Grok could gain a bit of an edge in document editing and creation thanks to the integration with Google Drive that xAI announced alongside the launch of Studio. This will allow users to attach files from Drive to chatbot requests, which the chatbot can then process.
