Google's new video generation model, Veo 2, will cost 50 cents per second

Google has revealed its plans for monetizing artificial intelligence and pricing principles for its AI services. Among other things, it became known what the price of video generation will be in the new Veo 2 model, introduced by the company in December 2024.

One second of generated video will cost 50 cents. Accordingly, one minute will cost $30, and an hour will cost $1,800.

Google DeepMind researcher John Barron compared this price to the Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Endgame, which had a production budget of $356 million, or about $32,000 per second.

You can use Veo 2 at VideoFX (not available in Ukraine) by joining the waiting list. The company also plans to integrate the model into the YouTube platform this year.
