Google begins rolling out search by selected sources

- 13 August, 03:54 PM

Google Search users have started to get a new feature that allows them to get search results only from selected sources, writes Engadget.

Introduced in late June 2025, Preferred Sources allows users to select multiple sites or blogs to appear more often in Google search results. These can include verified media outlets, local resources, or favorite blogs.

Users can select any number of sources, but the effect of the function decreases with a large number. At the same time, it allows you to filter out unwanted resources, such as Russian-language sites, and configure the search to only Ukrainian and Western media.

The feature is currently rolling out to Google Search users in India and the US. There is no word yet on when it will be rolled out to other regions.
