Google has officially announced the end of support for Google Assistant, which was introduced in 2016.

This decision is related to the transition to a new artificial intelligence Gemini, which has improved language understanding and logical thinking abilities. Google explains that users are looking for a more personalized assistant that can provide broader functionality.

According to Google, Gemini is already used by millions of people who are positive about its new features. It is also reported that Gemini is currently available in 40 languages and in 200 countries.

The company plans to update more devices in the coming months, replacing Google Assistant with Gemini. By the end of the year, Google Assistant will be unavailable on most mobile devices, as well as for new downloads in app stores.

Devices that don't meet the minimum requirements (2GB of RAM and Android 10 or later) will be able to continue using Google Assistant.

Gemini will also be integrated into tablets, cars, watches, and home devices. Google promises that the transition will be seamless, and the new assistant will retain the beloved features of its predecessor.
