At Google I/O 2025, Google unveiled a new AI-powered tool called Stitch that helps developers create interfaces for web and mobile applications. Using Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Flash, Stitch can generate user interface (UI) designs based on textual queries or images.
This tool allows you to create complex UI designs and front-end code in minutes. Developers can enter text queries or upload images, sketches, structural models, or screenshots of other interfaces. Stitch also supports choosing color palettes and interaction styles.
One of the key features is the ability to generate multiple UI variants, allowing you to experiment with different styles and layouts. Stitch also integrates with Figma, allowing developers to refine designs more professionally.
Google positions Stitch as a tool for rapid generation and adaptation of UI designs, which will help developers work more efficiently on interfaces and simplify the process of creating applications.
Stitch is also expected to receive new features in the near future, including the ability to edit designs using screenshot annotations, where users can highlight elements and add comments on their changes.
The beta version of Stitch is available at this link, but the tool only works with English for now.
