This year, Google is set to introduce a third foldable model, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, among other smartphones. Insider OnLeaks and Android Headlines have shown CAD renders of the device, which show a smartphone that looks almost identical to the current model.
Apparently, along with the rest of the Pixel smartphones, the foldable Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will repeat last year's design and retain almost the same dimensions - 155.2×150.4×5.3 mm (0.2 mm thicker than its predecessor). The overall appearance, placement of controls and finishing of the camera bump also repeat the design of the current model.
There are not many details about the internal upgrades yet. However, insiders mention the Tensor G5 chip (manufactured by TSMC) and do not expect changes in the memory combinations: 16 GB of RAM and 256-512 GB of permanent.
The new model is scheduled to launch in August this year, along with the rest of the Google Pixel 10 lineup, during the traditional Made by Google event. On the good news, some sources in the publication have noted a reduction in the cost of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold compared to the 9 Pro Fold. Unfortunately, the company does not specify how much the price will be reduced.
However, this is a rather unusual strategy, because the current trends of competitors are either to maintain the previous price level, or even increase it. And the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may become cheaper immediately after launch, without promotional offers. Recall that the cost of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the USA is $1,799. Google smartphones are still not officially supplied to Ukraine.
