Google Password Manager gets iOS synchronization
Google Password Manager finally gets syncing between iOS and other platforms, Ars Technica reports.
Previously, when users used Chrome on an iPhone , access keys were stored in iCloud and on other platforms in the user's Google profile. This meant that the codes could not be synchronized between different devices, which "tied" the user to the platform on which they generated the access code.
Now that Google has implemented key synchronization, Google Password Manager allows you to sign in to accounts not only in Chrome , but also in selected iOS apps, such as eBay or LinkedIn .
The first step to using Google Password Manager on iOS is to enable it in the iOS settings menu, namely: Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords, and then enable the Chrome option. The next time Chrome is launched to work with the password, the user will be prompted to enter the PIN.
