Google has announced a major expansion of AI Mode in Search — it will now be available in over 180 countries, including Ukraine. Previously, the feature only worked in the US, UK, and India. So far, only English is supported, but the company plans to add other languages.
AI Mode is a search mode using generative artificial intelligence. It generates generalized answers to complex queries, selects data from various sources, and can act as an interactive assistant, performing some actions instead of the user.
The service uses the Project Mariner web agent, Google Maps and Knowledge Graph, and partner data to provide real-time results. It can also remember a user's previous searches and preferences for more accurate recommendations.
Another new feature is the ability to share AI search results with other users. This allows you to connect friends or colleagues to an AI session you’ve already created, for example to plan trips or parties together. The session link can be deleted at any time.
The feature is currently only available in the US to Google AI Ultra subscribers through the Labs platform, but expansion to other countries has already begun.
Recall, Google recently held a presentation where it introduced a new generation of Pixel smartphones, namely Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The Pixel Buds 2a headphones and the Pixel Watch 4 smartwatch were also presented. The company also announced that it is integrating Gemini into Google Photos.
