After months of testing, Google is rolling out the integration of its Gemini AI assistant into Chrome for all users, the company announced on its blog.

Google is starting to roll out Gemini to Chrome for Mac, Windows, and mobile. All of the features are currently available to users in the US, but should be rolling out to other regions soon.

Gemini in Chrome will allow users to quickly get explanations or concise summaries of complex information on web pages. The AI assistant also offers deeper integration with other Google services, including Calendar, YouTube, and Maps. For example, you can ask the AI to schedule a meeting for you, and if you're watching a long YouTube video, Gemini can generate timecodes that help you quickly navigate through the video.

Google also plans to add agent capabilities to Chrome in the coming months, meaning Gemini can perform tasks on behalf of users. For example, the company says this feature could be used for weekly shopping.

Another new feature for Chrome is the AI Mode shortcut in the address bar. This chatbot for Google search became available to all users recently. Now you can access it directly from the browser.
