Google Chrome will get a new artificial intelligence-based feature that will generate aggregated reviews of online stores. The company wants to make shopping safer and more efficient.
Data from Google Shopping and other popular sites will be used to create review summaries. Users will be able to see an overall rating on a five-point scale and learn what other shoppers are saying about the stores.
The feature will only work in the US on the web version of Chrome for now. Google has not specified whether it will be available on smartphones or in other regions. Those who receive the update will see a new icon next to the address bar.
In the review, users will find information about customer service, product quality, delivery speed, prices, and return policies. This will allow them to immediately understand what to expect from their purchases.
