Google confirms Gemini will arrive on Wear OS, Android Auto, and other devices by the end of 2025

The Gemini chatbot already works on most Android smartphones, but the company still uses Google Assistant for Wear OS smartwatches, Android Auto, and smart displays. Now the company has confirmed that Gemini will start appearing on those devices later this year, Android Authority reports.

"We’re upgrading Google Assistant on mobile devices to Gemini, and later this year we’ll upgrade tablets, cars and devices that connect to your phone, such as headphones and watches," Sundar Pichai said during the Q1 2025 financial report.

The exact timing of the assistant update has not been announced, but more details will likely appear at the Google I/O conference, which will take place in May.

Recall, in March, Google announced that it would end support for Google Assistant by the end of 2025.
