OpenAI is launching its Operator AI agent outside the US. The feature is included in the ChatGPT Pro package for $200 per month, Android Headlines reports .
Operator is a ChatGPT feature that allows an AI to perform tasks on the internet for a user. This could be booking tickets, posting messages, or configuring equipment. The AI agent can interact with buttons, menus, and text fields on the screen, such as making to-do lists, planning trips, and more. It can also enter credentials to log in to websites.
The feature is already available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and most countries where ChatGPT operates. The rollout in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, and Liechtenstein is delayed due to regulatory restrictions. There is no information about the feature's availability in Ukraine yet.
In addition to OpenAI, many other companies are also offering or working on their own AI agents. Perplexity recently introduced its AI-based assistant for Android called Perplexity Assistant. It can plan trips, set reminders, and more. Google is also developing an AI agent called Project Mariner.
