Gemini in Gmail will be able to choose convenient times for meetings

Google has introduced a new AI feature for Gmail called Help me schedule, which will help users find convenient times for meetings using the Gemini chatbot.

Gmail with Gemini will detect when you're trying to schedule an email and display a "Help me schedule" button in the toolbar. Once activated, the chatbot will automatically suggest ideal times based on your Google Calendar and the context of the email.

For example, if someone asks for a 30-minute meeting next week, Gemini will suggest time slots that match your availability.

Users will be able to edit the time options Gemini offers, removing or adding additional options, and then paste them directly into a Gmail email. When the recipient selects a time that works for them, an invitation will automatically appear in Calendar for both parties.

Google notes that this feature will only support scheduling between two individuals, not groups.
