Google has introduced a new feature for its Gemini AI, Scheduled Actions, that lets you automate routine tasks and receive personalized updates. Users can set specific tasks to run at specific times or turn a request into a recurring action.
Gemini's settings now have a dedicated page for managing scheduled actions. For example, you can ask Gemini to send emails and notifications at a specified time or follow a specific news topic. You can also ask Gemini to prepare a short overview of an event on the day of its occurrence.
However, the feature is only available to users with a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, as well as those with the corresponding Google Workspace business and education plans.
It was previously reported that Gemini has learned to analyze not only documents and PDFs in Google Drive, but also videos. This allows you to quickly get answers to questions about the content of videos and view short summaries without having to watch the entire video.
In addition, Gemini will soon feature a new copy mechanism for text replies, bringing the copying process closer to the standard mechanism for working with web pages on a PC. Gemini mobile users will be able to simply hold down the text and swipe to select the desired fragment. After that, "Copy" and "Share" buttons will appear, allowing you to quickly use the selected text.
