Gemini Live has integration with other Google services
Gemini Live, a version of Google's chatbot that supports voice communication and can see the user's surroundings thanks to a camera, is getting integration with other company services, such as Calendar, Keep, and Maps, 9to5Google reports.
The company first announced the feature back at Google I/O in May, but didn't reveal a release date, but it appears the new feature is already rolling out. A Reddit user reported that Gemini Live can now create notes in Google Keep based on their conversation.
During the presentation, the company gave several examples of deeper integration of its services. Users will be able to discuss details of vacation plans with friends and instantly create an event in Calendar, find the nearest pizzeria thanks to Maps, create a task in Tasks, and much more.
Google also noted that it plans to expand Gemini Live's integration into its ecosystem in the future, but did not disclose details.
The update is rolling out quite slowly so far — it's only been received selectively by select users, and Google itself hasn't made any official announcements about the release yet. To check if this feature is available for you, you can try asking Gemini Live to do things like add a note to Keep, find an address in Maps, or perform a similar request.
