Garmin launches new Quatix 8 marine smartwatch with up to 29 days of battery life

Garmin has introduced an updated Quatix 8 smartwatch model, complementing the popular Fenix 8. This watch is specifically designed for sailors and includes features such as support for BlueChart marine maps.

The quatix 8 is powered by the Garmin Elevate Gen 5 platform and features a 1.4-inch AMOLED display and a built-in LED flashlight. The model is available in two sizes — 47 and 51 mm. The larger version offers up to 29 days of battery life, while the smaller version offers up to 16 days.

Additional features include the ability to control the Chartplotter navigation system with voice commands thanks to the built-in microphone. The watch also supports phone calls via Bluetooth and is equipped with a speaker for conversations.

The quatix 8 is water resistant to 100 meters and certified for diving to depths of 40 meters.

The new model is available for pre-order now. The price for the 47mm version starts at $1,199, while the 51mm model costs $100 more.
