Garmin introduces Vivoactive 6, an affordable sports smartwatch with premium features
Garmin has introduced a new sports smartwatch, the Vivoactive 6, with a smart alarm clock and the Running Dynamics feature, which is available in the company's more expensive models.
The smartwatch can last up to 11 days on a single charge, has a 1.2-inch AMOLED screen, a plastic body, an aluminum bezel, and a silicone strap. The Vivoactive 6 differs from the previous generation in that it has only 2 buttons instead of 5.
The "smart alarm clock" function will choose the optimal time to wake the user based on sleep phases. The watch also has a program for daily low- and high-intensity cardio workouts.
Garmin Running Dynamic collects information from 7 different metrics, such as ground contact time, stride length and cadence, and analyzes this data to assess the user's running in real time.
You can download programs for strength training, yoga, Pilates, and more through the Garmin Connect app. The device also has a special mode for wheelchair users.
The Vivoactive 6 is available in four color combinations: Black/Slate, Bone/Lunar Gold, Jasper Green and Pink Dawn. The watch costs $299.
