Samsung has introduced two new rugged devices – the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro smartphone and the Galaxy Tab Actrive 5 Pro tablet. Both new products will go on sale in early June 2025.
The new Samsung smartphone has a 6.6-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, as well as a 4350 mAh battery and even some Galaxy AI features. The smartphone also supports microSD up to 2 TB and two SIM cards - a regular one and an eSIM.
At the same time, the main feature of the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro is its durability, including a reinforced body, IP68 water and dust protection, as well as the ability to replace the battery. In addition to the usual Type-C, the device can also be charged via a POGO connector.
Another new Samsung tablet is the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, equipped with a 10.1-inch WUXGA display, the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip as in the smartphone. The device also has 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB via microSD. It also received some AI features, such as Circle to Search.
The tablet is equipped with a 10100 mAh battery, POGO pins and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The battery can be quickly replaced or the device can be used without it by connecting to the docking station. The novelty also has protection against water and dust according to the IP68 standard, which also applies to the S-Pen stylus.
