Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a larger battery in a thinner body and 65W charging — insider
Samsung's next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, will get an improved battery and a thinner body. At the same time, the device will have a faster charging speed, insiders report.
First, IceUniverse, who previously reported that the Galaxy S26 Edge will be even thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge and have a larger battery, said that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a faster charging speed than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which supports 45W.
Following his statements, another insider, chunvn8888, said that the upcoming smartphone will charge at a speed of 65 W, and at the same time will have a higher battery capacity - 5500 mAh versus 5000 mAh in the S25 Ultra.
In a separate post, he also noted that these improvements will come even though the Galaxy S26 Ultra will get a thinner chassis. The flagship will likely use the new battery material technology that was rumored for the S26 Edge.
IceUniverse previously made claims about the Galaxy S26 Ultra's battery that contradicted the new reports, but he also said that the S26 Ultra would not receive significant camera improvements.
In any case, we won't get official confirmation of these reports anytime soon. Traditionally, Samsung updates its flagship Galaxy smartphone lineup at the beginning of the year, so we'll have to wait a while before the official presentation of the new Galaxy S26.
