A Korean tech blogger is conducting an extreme endurance test of the Samsung Galaxy Fold7, manually folding and unfolding the device live, with the goal of reaching 200,000 folds, Android Authority reports.

At the time of writing, the counter showed over 127,000 folds, which means the blogger could reach his goal within 24 hours. Samsung officially rates the Fold7's internal OLED display at 500,000 folds under ideal conditions, but manual testing gives a more realistic idea of the device's behavior in everyday use.

During the test, the YouTuber pauses to check the phone's health. At the 95,000 fold mark, everything was working fine — the display displayed colors correctly, touch sensitivity remained unchanged, and the speakers functioned properly.

After 100,000 folds, a slight crackling sound began to appear when opening and closing the phone. Despite this, the internal screen continued to work without flickering or visible damage. At 105,021 folds, the screen remained fully functional, although the crease had become noticeably deeper.

Samsung has improved the design of the Fold7 by using a 50% thicker Ultra Thin Glass layer for better kinetic energy absorption. A new high-elastic adhesive bonds the OLED layers and provides four times better recovery compared to previous materials. The screen is also reinforced with a high-strength titanium plate.

The test is live. Users can watch the device in real time.
