Apple is working on a feature for visionOS 3 that will allow Vision Pro users to turn pages and content simply by moving their eyes, without the need to use hand gestures, Bloomberg reports.

Vision Pro currently supports navigation by pointing at an item and confirming selection with a hand gesture, so eye scrolling would be a natural extension of that feature. Apple plans to implement eye scrolling in all native Vision Pro apps and is developing an API so developers can add this capability to their apps as well.

The device is equipped with multiple cameras for eye tracking and biometric authentication via iris scanning. Apple has previously experimented with eye tracking technology on the iPhone and iPad, where the Accessibility feature allows you to control the cursor on the screen using your gaze. To select, you need to hold your gaze on the selected object.

Apple will officially unveil visionOS 3 at the WWDC 2025 conference, which starts on June 9, 2025.
