Fortnite has returned to the US App Store and is already topping the charts
Epic Games recently reported that Apple had blocked the company's attempt to bring Fortnite back to the US App Store, making the game unavailable even to European users. However, the companies appear to have found common ground after another lawsuit.
Epic Games announced on social media that Fortnite is returning to the US App Store on iOS, and in the European Union to the Epic Games Store and AltStore mobile stores. However, the game is not yet available for download on iPhone in Ukraine.
As for the American App Store, as The Verge notes, less than a day after returning to the Apple App Store, Epic Games' battle royale has already topped the iPhone gaming charts.
As a reminder, Fortnite disappeared from the iOS App Store in August 2020, when Apple and Epic Games began a legal battle. Last year, Epic managed to bring the battle royale back to the EU thanks to a law that opened iOS to third-party app stores, and now the game is back on the App Store, despite some difficulties.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney previously offered Apple "peace," even saying his company was willing to bring Fortnite back to all regions and drop further lawsuits if Apple expanded its fee-free, no-limit model to the App Store worldwide.
