Ubisoft is working on a Far Cry TV series

- 11 August, 12:51 PM

Ubisoft accidentally posted a press release on its official website that said that the American cable channel FX was working on a series based on the Far Cry video game series. The page has now been removed, Engadget reports.

According to the since-deleted post, the Far Cry show will be an "anthology drama" where each season will explore a new world with a new set of characters. In this way, the adaptation will follow the game's main characters, which are largely independent of each other.

The show will be produced by Rob Mack, known for his work on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and Noah Hawley, creator of "Fargo" and "Legion."

Several production studios will be involved in the production, including Ubisoft Film & Television, which is also working on the adaptation of Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for Netflix.

So far, neither Ubisoft nor FX have provided any official statements or confirmations.
