Fallout season two will be released in December 2025
Prime Video has confirmed that the second season of the Fallout series will be released in December 2025. According to Variety, the plot will continue the events of the first season finale and take viewers to the Mojave Desert and the city of New Vegas — a familiar location from the game Fallout: New Vegas.
Previously, actors Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins have already announced that the filming of the series has been completed and the post-production stage has begun. In the new season, Lucy and Gul will go in search of the leaders of Vault-Tec, while Lucy's father, Hank, flees to New Vegas. The season will also show the further story of Maximus, who has been promoted to a knight of the Brotherhood of Steel.
The first season premiered in April 2024, garnering over 100 million views and becoming one of the top three shows on Prime Video. The series received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor, and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
Prime Video has already ordered a third season. The show is being produced by Kilter Films, with showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, and produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Actor Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus, recently revealed that the series could run for up to six seasons and run for 10 years.
