Apple Music on Windows gets Dolby Atmos support
Apple Music users on Windows finally have Dolby Atmos support, allowing you to enjoy three-dimensional surround sound on compatible speakers and headphones.
According to Apple's support site, in order for Apple Music subscribers to use Dolby Atmos on Windows, they need to go to the app's settings, where two options will appear: play supported songs in Dolby Atmos format and the ability to select Dolby Atmos quality when downloading songs.
Users will also be able to configure Dolby Atmos for each song individually using a dedicated button in the playback bar. In addition, all albums and tracks that support this audio technology will be marked accordingly.
Dolby Atmos is an audio technology that creates a three-dimensional sound environment for complete immersion. Unlike traditional surround sound, which is only distributed horizontally, this technology adds a height dimension by precisely positioning sounds in space.
