Samsung has made its proprietary applications available to all Windows users, regardless of whether they use Galaxy laptops, Sammobile reports.
Previously, apps like Samsung Notes, Samsung Gallery, and Samsung Account only worked on the company's laptops, but now they can be downloaded to any computer running Windows 10 or 11. Users can find Samsung-branded apps in the Microsoft Store.
However, some apps require authorization via a Samsung Account, and the Notes app may warn that it is optimized for the Galaxy Book, so minor issues may occur on other devices.
Currently, the apps available in the Microsoft Store include Gallery, Cloud, Screen Recorder, Galaxy Buds, Bixby, Samsung Studio, Phone, and more. However, the Samsung Find app is currently only available on Galaxy laptops.
This is a long-awaited move from Samsung, expanding the Galaxy ecosystem to all Windows users and opening up access to branded apps to a wider audience.
