DJI has announced the end of support for its famous Phantom drone line, which has become a symbol of consumer quadcopters. This was reported by the DroneDJ website.

It is reported that the latest Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 4 Advanced models, which were introduced in 2016 and 2017 respectively, will be retired from service from June 1, 2025. Production of the last drone in this series ended in May 2018, which means more than seven years of support for users.

The Phantom, which first appeared in 2013, was one of the first ready-to-fly camera drones to gain popularity among both amateurs and professionals. DJI has now decided to focus on other, newer drone lines, such as the Mavic, Air, Mini, and Inspire, which offer more modern technology and portability.

DJI is expected to soon introduce new models, including the Mavic 4 Pro, which will have a triple camera system with a 100MP main module, and the Mini 5, which will weigh less than 250 grams, have an improved LiDAR system, and a vertical shooting mode.
