DJI, best known for its drones, has introduced a new 360° camera, the DJI Osmo 360, which can record 100 minutes of video in 8K.

The Osmo 360 features a 1-inch square HDR sensor. DJI says this will "reduce unnecessary bulk" and help keep the camera compact. It can also shoot 10-bit video, which allows for better color correction, and it weighs just 183 grams.

There's also a 1,950mAh battery inside, which should be enough for 100 minutes of 8K video recording at 30 frames per second. At this resolution, the camera can also record video at 50 fps. By reducing the resolution to 6K, the frame rate can be increased to 60, and at 4K, to 120.

The DJI Osmo 360 can also capture 360-degree photos at 120 megapixels, which is almost double the resolution of its main competitor, the Insta360 X5, which has a resolution of 72 megapixels. When shooting HDR photos, the resolution drops to 30 megapixels.

Among other things, the Osmo 360 also features voice and gesture control, HorizonSteady and Rocksteady stabilization, and the ability to track people and objects. The camera currently has 105 GB of built-in storage and can connect directly to DJI wireless microphones and record two separate audio tracks.

In Europe, the camera costs €479. DJI also offers an Adventure Combo kit for €629, which includes a selfie stick and a multi-functional battery case.
