Disney has released the first trailer for "Tron: Ares," the third installment in the cult science fiction series.
The new film stars Jared Leto, who plays Ares, a highly advanced program that emerges from the digital world into the real one.
The trailer features thrilling scenes of Ares on a light motorcycle fleeing from the police, using a light trail as a weapon that cuts one of the cars in half. It also shows a red-lit airship hovering over the city, and dogfights between planes from the real and digital worlds. The finale features the voice of Kevin Flynn, reprised by Jeff Bridges, saying, "Ready? There's no turning back."
The film is directed by Joachim Rönning and stars Gillian Anderson, Evan Peters, Greta Lee, and others. The soundtrack is by Nine Inch Nails. The film is scheduled for release on October 10, 2025.
