According to recent reports, DeepSeek founder, billionaire Liang Wenfeng, has refused cooperation with major tech giants such as Tencent and ByteDance, as well as government funding, in order to maintain the company's independence.
This approach allows DeepSeek to avoid pressure from investors and focus on long-term goals. However, it creates risks, as competitors such as Alibaba have a more developed infrastructure and can offer their services to a wider range of customers.
Despite this, the popularity of DeepSeek models is growing, and the company plans to release new products R2 and V4 by the end of the year. This decision highlights the uniqueness of DeepSeek's approach, which is based primarily on innovation, not the pursuit of profit.
