Death Stranding 2 gets 10-minute trailer and release date

Kojima Production presented a new trailer for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach during the SXSW event and announced the release date of the game exclusively on PlayStation 5 - June 26, 2025.

The 10-minute trailer featured many cinematic scenes that hint at the possible development of the plot of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, as well as a lot of gameplay - both from delivering various cargo, to the game's combat system and clashes with various enemies.

The trailer also showed off many of the cast members, including familiar faces Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux, as well as some new faces. One of the new actors is Italian Luca Marinelli, whose character bears a striking resemblance to Solid Snake from Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear franchise.

Among other things, the trailer announced the start of pre-orders on March 17. Depending on the chosen version of Death Stranding 2, buyers will be able to receive both digital bonuses, such as weapons, and real merch like a statuette.
