To celebrate the PC release of the team-based Hero shooter FragPunk, Bad Guitar Studio and publisher NetEase have unveiled a cinematic trailer for the game, clearly inspired by the animated film Arcane.

So obvious that if you didn't know about FragPunk's existence, you might think it was a shooter based on Arcane and the League of Legends universe. Similar animation style, character design, editing, even music.

As a reminder, FragPunk is a fast-paced, free-to-play 5v5 team-based Hero shooter with an interesting map system that can change the conditions on the battlefield for both one and all players. The game is released on PC on Steam and Epic Games Store today, March 6, 2025 (tomorrow Kyiv time). Pre-download is already live. Release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles is expected a little later.

The game was developed by the Chinese Bad Guitar Studio, which is owned by the Chinese corporation NetEase. It was NetEase that was responsible for the sale and support of Blizzard Entertainment games in China from 2008 to 2023, including Overwatch. It seems that after Blizzard and NetEase broke up, the latter decided to create its own Overwatch with maps and anime girls.
