Google is introducing the ability to move the address bar to the bottom of the screen in the Chrome browser for Android, Android Authority reports. This feature has been available for more than a year on the iOS version of the browser, and now it seems that the company is starting to implement it for Android. The change is designed to make navigation easier, especially on smartphones with large screens, where reaching the top edge can be inconvenient.
The new layout makes it easier to navigate the browser with one hand, which is a big advantage for many users. The option is rolling out gradually - some may see it now, while others will have to wait a while. To move the address bar, just press and hold on it until the move menu appears. You can also find the corresponding option in Chrome settings under the "Address bar" section.
It is worth noting that the update is not mandatory: users who are used to the traditional location of the address bar at the top can leave everything unchanged.
