ChatGPT Agent was able to confirm that he is not a robot
OpenAI's new tool, ChatGPT Agent, has demonstrated its ability to independently pass Cloudflare's "I'm not a robot" CAPTCHA check. A Reddit user shared screenshots showing the AI agent easily filling in the checkbox.
ChatGPT Agent is a feature that allows OpenAI’s AI to control a browser, running in an isolated environment with its own virtual operating system that has access to the internet. Users can observe the AI’s actions through the ChatGPT interface, controlling the agent’s work. The system requires user permission before taking actions that have real-world consequences, such as making a purchase.
Cloudflare's security system (Turnstile) did not require any additional checks, and the agent successfully completed the task. Since Turnstile analyzes user behavioral signals, a successful test pass indicates that the ChatGPT Agent's actions resembled human ones.
By the way, OpenAI was not the first company whose AI was able to pass a CAPTCHA. Last year, scientists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich created their own bot and trained it to pass Google's eCAPTCHAv2, which requires choosing between cars, bicycles, or pedestrian crossings.
