Casio has announced a limited edition G-Shock GW-M5610U watch created in collaboration with Japanese musician Tamio Okuda, NotebookCheck reports with reference to Great G-Shock World. The new product will go on sale on May 12 exclusively through Sony Music Store Japan, and its price will be 35,000 yen (about $243).

The watch retains the classic square G-Shock design with a black case and resin strap. The model's uniqueness is emphasized by the digital display, which instead of the standard inscriptions appears the words "Tamio" and "Gekitotsu Resist" (which means "Shock Resistance"). The back panel is engraved with Okuda's emblem, as well as a specially designed strap holder. The watch will be sold in special packaging with the musician's style.

Functionally, the watch features Multiband 6, Tough Solar, alarms, stopwatch, and other standard features of the GW-M5610U series. Pre-orders will open at midnight on May 12th, with shipping starting in mid-August. The watch will only be available in Japan, so international buyers will have to look for it on the secondary market.
