Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be released on November 14, but without a Nintendo Switch version 2
The new part of the popular shooter series Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to be released on November 14, 2025. This is reported by the Dealabs portal, confirming previous information from insider TheGhostofHope. However, according to the publication, the game will not receive a version for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The possible lack of a port for the Nintendo Switch 2 came as a surprise to the gaming community, as in early 2023, Activision and Nintendo entered into a deal that provided for ten years of support for the Call of Duty franchise on Switch consoles.
However, no Call of Duty titles have been released on Nintendo devices so far, and there is currently no confirmation of a possible port of Black Ops 7 to the Switch 2 in the future. Thus, despite fan expectations, the Nintendo Switch 2 will remain off the launch list of platforms for Black Ops 7, at least at the time of release.
As for the game itself, it is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software. The plot continues the events of the game Black Ops II, which was released in 2012. The main character is agent David Mason and his team will confront an enemy that uses fear as a weapon.
It was previously reported that Black Ops 7 will feature new cooperative modes, including Overload and Skirmish. The developers also promise to develop the omni-movement system introduced in Black Ops 6. Activision also recently announced that PC users will need to enable Windows Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 to enable Ricochet, an anti-cheat system aimed at combating cheaters in multiplayer matches.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X. Physical copies of the game will be released for consoles for €79.99. Pre-orders for the title will reportedly start on August 20.
