Broken Life – a Ukrainian adventure game about a military SEAL

The Point-and-Click adventure Broken Life from the Odessa studio IkkoSama (actually one person) about the events of the current Russian-Ukrainian war has been released in Early Access on Steam.

You play as Leo, a former soldier who returns to his recently de-occupied hometown to find out the fate of his family. Leo's story is one of loneliness and exhaustion after years of war. He must rebuild his shattered life, cope with grief, and find out the fate of his family during the occupation. But what seems clear and simple at first quickly turns out to be a deception. The house hides many dark and mysterious secrets...

Leo and his family are represented in the game as anthropomorphic cats, while the Russian invaders are represented as dogs.

Broken Life is a traditional narrative 2D point-and-click adventure game with puzzles and world exploration. But with your decisions impacting the storyline. There are no right or wrong answers, just different paths to take.

The game has full Ukrainian and English localization, including voice acting. In Early Access Broken Life, players will be able to get acquainted with the first episode of the game, which lasts about one hour, and the full game can be completed in three hours. The author hopes to completely finish the game by October 2025.
