Bitcoin is already worth almost $112,000
Bitcoin has hit a new record high of $111,988 amid rising institutional demand and the Trump administration's favorable policies toward cryptocurrencies, Reuters reports.
On July 9, 2025, the value of Bitcoin rose to $111,988.90, renewing an all-time high. As of the close of trading, the cryptocurrency was worth $111,259, up 0.4% from the day before. Since the beginning of the year, the value of Bitcoin has increased by more than 18%.
The growth was influenced by the activation of large investors - analysts attribute this to the fact that cryptocurrency is now considered a legitimate investment tool.
"Bitcoin is becoming a less risky asset as its capitalization grows," said Anthony Pompliano, CEO of Professional Capital Management.
Political factors also had a positive impact on the market. Trump Media & Technology Group, a company associated with the US president's family, has filed to launch an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that will invest in several tokens, including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and Ripple.
Bitcoin's rise also boosted other digital assets. Ether rose to $2,794.95, its highest level in a month, and crypto stocks also showed gains: Coinbase rose 5.4%, MicroStrategy 4.7%.
