Ukrainian director and game designer Cristian Jereghi announced the start of work on a game project in the interactive film genre about the first days of a full-scale invasion.

The project is being developed by a newly formed Ukrainian-American studio, Biopunk Labs, where Cristian Jereghi is the creative director and one of the co-founders. The core team consists of veterans of the gaming industry. In addition, the team wants to attract a wide range of specialists, giving preference to veterans, regardless of any post-traumatic effects or health problems, as well as those who are in Ukraine and are in a crisis situation.

The motivation for creating the game was direct participation in hostilities, the team's personal experience. The goal of the project is to create a game that will convey the atmosphere of the first days of a full-scale invasion through the eyes of civilians, their experiences and all phases of accepting the terrible reality, finding the strength to help others, despite personal losses.

A separate motivation for the team was the leak of information that the Russians were creating a propaganda project depicting the atrocities in Bucha as allegedly committed by the Ukrainian military.

Our team's goal is to create a unique experience that will tell the world about the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Countering Russian propaganda has always been an important job.
Christian Zheregi

The team is looking for references: video footage, photographs, as well as ready-made 3D assets, scans of locations and destruction that thematically correspond to the topic and are directly related to the first days of a full-scale war.

Biopunk Labs has received its first funding and hopes that this will allow them to create the first demo of the game, which has the working title UNBROKEN, during 2025.

Cristian Jereghi is a Ukrainian director and producer, a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who participated in the documentary film projects Babylon'13, Earth's Edge: ATO Zone, and is also the director and producer of the first official advertising campaign of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He worked as a war correspondent in occupied territories, in combat zones. After military service, he worked at such well-known studios as 4A Games, AtomTeam, and CD PROJEKT RED.

Let us remind you that a game about the first days of a full-scale invasion is already being created in Ukraine – Hollow Home from the Twigames studio.
