Before the Silence is a Ukrainian game where you have to protect citizens in an information war
You won't believe it, but another Ukrainian game was announced this week – Before the Silence from Left Bank Interactive.
This is a turn-based strategy game in which you manage a disinformation counterintelligence unit and protect citizens from the influence of terrorists. The player must manage agents and resources, analyze the media, and restore order in different regions of the country.
The game takes place in 2056, in a European country facing a terrorist threat that is causing information warfare. The enemy is seizing control of the media, spreading propaganda and distorting reality, and the main character must counter this.
Left Bank Interactive was founded in 2025 by five students interested in game development and trying to find their place in the industry. It can be assumed that the studio employees live on the Left Bank of Kyiv.
Before the Silence was originally a small project for the Ctrl + Alt + Disinfo jam, as part of the Global Game Jam. Development has only been going on for half a year, but the authors hope to release the game by the end of 2025. The game will be available in Ukrainian, so we suggest supporting young developers by adding it to the Wishlist.
