Bang & Olufsen has introduced a new version of the premium Beosound Balance speaker, which is made of stone
Danish company Bang & Olufsen, known for its high-end audio and video products, has introduced a new, even more premium version of the Beosound Balance speaker system, made of natural stone – Beosound Balance Natura.
Presented at Milan Design Week, the speaker system was developed in partnership with the renowned Italian natural stone brand Antolini and was released in a limited edition of just 16 pieces.
"o celebrate the partnership, we created a limited collection of 16 unique speakers, each featuring a distinct combination of Antolini’s natural stones and custom finishes from B&O’s Atelier catalogue," says the Bang & Olufsen website.
Beosound Balance Natura features a sculptural base that not only elevates the speaker to the optimal height, but also becomes a striking accent in any interior. The stand is available in quartz from the Exclusive collection and petrified wood from the Precioustone collection by Antolini.
Between the stand, which Bang & Olufsen calls a “pedestal,” and the speaker itself, there’s a ring of anodized aluminum that creates a seamless transition. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, this design, the company says, minimizes vibrations and allows sound to naturally radiate throughout the room, improving acoustics.
Each of the 16 limited edition speakers is custom-made, and their price depends on the finish configuration you choose. Since the regular version of the Beosound Balance costs $3,300, you'll have to pay significantly more for the premium design.
