Winners of the BAFTA Games Awards, Game of the Year is Astro Bot again

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) held an awards ceremony for the best games of 2024. The winners, which include major studios and small indie developers, received bronze statuettes in the form of a theatrical mask.

The creator of the poker rogue-like Balatro, solo developer LocalThunk, appeared at the ceremony in Joker makeup, the game's recognizable symbol, and received the award for the best debut in the industry.
