ASUS has introduced a monitor that can be overclocked to 610 Hz
ASUS has introduced a new 24-inch monitor that can reach a maximum refresh rate of 610 Hz through overclocking. It is expected to be launched with a focus on the Asian market at an approximate price of $1,100, writes TechSpot.
ASUS ROG XG248Q5G-P was designed with eSports enthusiasts in mind and features a 24-inch Full HD Super TN panel with a 0.1ms response time. The monitor's refresh rate starts at 240Hz, but can be overclocked to 480Hz or even 610Hz. DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 are available for connectivity, and it also has an audio jack.
The monitor supports NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies for variable refresh rates and has 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Other features include dual-backlight technology to reduce motion blur and increase brightness.
It also features an AI feature unique to ROG monitors that displays the crosshairs on the screen and dynamically enhances shadow detail for better visibility in competitive games.
In addition, ASUS also introduced the 32-inch Fast IPS monitor ROG XG32UCG, which can operate in 4K mode at 160 Hz, or in Full HD at 320 Hz. It has a response rate of 0.3 ms and will be available in May for an estimated price of $550.
