Astell & Kern introduces flagship Luna headphones for $2,700

Premium audio manufacturer Astell & Kern has unveiled (via NotebookCheck) its new flagship Luna headphones, which feature unique technology and premium design.

The main feature of the device is the use of 13mm unipolar microplanar drivers designed specifically for this model. They provide ultra-fast response, accurate audio reproduction and an extremely high level of sound detail.

The headphone housing is handcrafted from titanium, and its shape is inspired by the moon. The Luna supports a frequency range of 20 Hz to 30 kHz, has an impedance of 5 ohms, and a sensitivity of 105 dB/mW.

The included cable features a 4.4mm connector, which combines oxygen-free copper with silver plating for the purest sound. If damaged, it can be replaced, or third-party cables with a 2-pin connector can be used.

Luna is already available for sale in some online stores in the US for $2700 and in Europe for €2604. In addition to the headphones and cable, the kit includes 7 pairs of eartips made of different materials, as well as an Alcantara case for transportation.
