Apple plans to release an updated version of Siri, first introduced at WWDC 2024, only in the spring of 2026 along with the iOS 26.4 update, Bloomberg reports.

At WWDC last year, the company showed off how Siri could understand a user's personal context and perform actions based on what's on the screen. But in March, Apple announced a delay, saying it's "going to take us longer than we thought."

In that statement, Apple only vaguely stated that it "plans to introduce the features within the next year." However, this week, senior vice president of marketing Greg Jozwiak clarified in an interview that it was referring to 2026.

Bloomberg notes that the company has not yet decided on an exact release date. Based on previous updates, iOS 26.4 could arrive in March: iOS 18.4 was released on March 31, and iOS 17.4 on March 5.

Apple previously planned to launch the new Siri in the fall of 2025 with the iPhone 16 series, but in reality, the initial Apple Intelligence features — including just the new Siri design — became available more than a month after the smartphones were released.

Recall that this week at WWDC 2025, Apple introduced iOS 26The main novelty was the Liquid Glass design, as well as new features based on Apple Intelligence. By the way, you can read about the evolution of Apple's interface in our separate article.
